JOB TITLE:Network Systems Engineer

Salary Range: $65 – 90K depending on experience and education

 

Job Summary

The Network Systems Engineer will oversee Allonhill’s network infrastructure and remote production facilities.  Responsibilities include administration and support for the Company’s technical infrastructure, including network, telecommunication, and network security.  Assists Director of Infrastructure in planning, development, testing and deployment of Allonhill’s technical resources.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Allonhill network infrastructure
  • Oversee remote production facilities
  • Provide administration and support for technical infrastructure, including but not limited to Cisco and Foundry security routing products, Redhat Linux, and Windows administration
  • Monitor system reliability and performance
  • Support the configuration and operation of local and global communications infrastructure.
  • Assist in the planning, development, testing and deployment of local and global IT initiatives.
  • Assist with enterprise network IP management
  • Keep abreast of current technology trends, make recommendations as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technical suppliers and consultants to maximize the availability and efficient implementation of technical resources
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years experience as a Network Systems Engineer or equivalent position
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • CCNA / CCNP Certification
  • MCSE, MCSA or MCP Certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Redhat Linux server administration
  • Financial sector experience a must
  • Comprehensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, network security and load balancing, specifically Cisco ASA, Dell, Foundry switches and load balancers, Brocade, NetApp, and Citrix products
  • Windows 2008/Active Directory administration and troubleshooting a plus
  • Cisco ASA firewall operations and rules, network security and monitoring.
  • Backup and restore experience, experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Solid background in VLAN switching
  • Enterprise network IP management (DHCP/DNS).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
