Mortgage Processing Analyst

Job Summary

Allonhill is seeking quality mortgage loan analysts to support its core due diligence business. The analyst will be responsible for verifying and evaluating loan data using various internal and external systems. The analyst must be a reliable and professional representative of Allonhill with a demonstrated track record of producing high-quality work. This position is ideal for a residential mortgage loan processor, junior underwriter, loss mitigation agent, or a polished individual seeking to start a career in the financial services sector. This is a temporary contract position which will last a minimum of 90 – 120 days but may be extended beyond that time.

 

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Review borrower-provided modification documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Calculate borrower income, ensuring all sources of income are documented if necessary.
  • Condition loan file for missing documentation in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.
  • Enter data in client proprietary system.  Draft loan-level comments in accordance with client policy and procedure.
  • Review and analyze loan data as required by the scope of the due diligence review using Allonhill’s proprietary systems, which may include verification of data against multiple sets of guidelines.
  • Recognize credit exceptions and, as applicable, list compensating factors that mitigate risk.
  • Common understanding of Federal, state and local mortgage compliance regulations.
  • Verify loan documentation via phone and internet.

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Degree required.
  • Pursuit of a college degree in any discipline preferred.
  • Residential  mortgage loan processing and/or junior underwriting background is a significant advantage.
  • Residential mortgage loan servicing in a loss mitigation department is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with recent government loss mitigation programs a plus.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong familiarity with various personal and business income documentation.
  • Ability to identify income sources and required documentation from individual/business tax returns.
  • Ability to quickly grasp proprietary loan servicing systems and modules.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Windows-based computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Function independently with minimal supervision in a high production environment.
  • Sit at a desk working on a computer with dual monitors for the vast majority of the day.
  • Complete loan reviews in a paperless work environment.
